Troubleshooting

Solving any problem depends on two ways:

The first is the professional method through the use of Troubleshooting.

The second depends on the experience gained and it comes through the recurrence of the problem and therefore we have practical experience as a result of the renewal of this problem in our practical reality.

What does Troubleshooting mean?

Generally called a set of processes that lead to the diagnosis of the problem and if developed correctly we solve the problem.

And it usually starts immediately after the problem occurs or as soon as a report of the problem comes from someone because we can't describe the problem as a problem because it does not cause any damage at the moment if we assume that the Internet cut off on Saturday from the company which is known as a day off and there is no effect of the problem on this day but do not think that the problem will start as of Sunday and will It causes chaos and problems in the network that you need?

So I would like to point out that the time of the problem and its impact, even if it is simple, should be kept in mind directly and not be late because problems that start small and develop and reach stages may cause destruction to the network and the devices on it, which will reflect on you negatively and cause you to lose your job in most cases.

For us, what matters to us is the second phase, which will be the focus of our conversation, which is how to analyze and diagnose the problem in a professional way.

To diagnose the problem correctly, we must go through several stages:

  • Collect information collection

  • Analysis information

  • Identify possible causes

  • Determine most probable

  • Test

As we see, the diagnosis of the problem needs us to implement five steps, each of which we will talk about individually and we will start first with me:

  • Information gathering phase: The process of diagnosing the problem begins by trying to gather as much information about the problem as possible because the reports usually call and do not contain any information that will help us solve the problems so we have to start collecting as much information as possible by knowing what happened before the problem started and what happened after the problem or what The affected places or what error message appears to us or where I can not reach and of course the nature of the questions differs from the different problem, as we can use some programs and tools that help us more in collecting information and I think that this stage where all professional and beginner people.

  • Analysis of information: This stage promises in my belief the stage between the two ways that we talked about in solving the problem it determines whether this person will follow the rest of the stages or will go directly to solve the problem because at this stage we will analyze the problem and try to understand it more through the information we have which will determine whether I will rely on my experience or I will continue to solve the problem in a professional way.

  • Set the causative possibilities: Our third step to solve the problem begins by putting all the points that may have a role in the problem itself by making a list of all the points that you think have a role in the problem and it depends on the experience of the person and the way he analyzes the information that we passed in the second step and I would like to put him to an important point which is to put all the possibilities even if it is simple because my third problem was solved here by putting all the possibilities in front of me.

  • Identify the closest possibilities: In the fourth step we start by taking each point individually and begin to analyze it through our deep view of the mechanism of action of networks and its organs and protocols and everything that concerns it until we reach in the other to some possibilities that we see are best suited to this problem.

  • Experience possibilities: This is the last step in the way of solving professional problems and in which we take the hypotheses that were filtered in the fourth step and started experimenting with possible solutions and examining each hypothesis individually until we get to the truth of the problem.

If the problem is not solved then we go back to the third step and start taking the other possibilities that we excluded in the fourth step and follow up with the rest of the steps and of course you will ask me even if I tried all the hypotheses and did not find the solution then I go back to the first and second step and try to gather more information about the problem.

Thank You.
