If you're having problems with the wireless connection on your Huawei gateway, try the steps below.

  1. Check the wireless connection on other wireless devices.
    • If one device won't connect to the gateway while others do:
      1. On the device that won't connect make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and your password is correct.

      2. Try resetting the device.

      3. Try changing ;the Security Mode from WEP to WPA2-PSK. If that doesn't work, choose No Security to disable security settings completely. See Setting up wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) on your Huawei gateway.

    • If no wireless devices connect, try entering your network name again:
      1. Go to http://192.168.1.1 from your home computer (clicking this link will open a new tab or window in your browser, and this page will stay open behind it).

      2. Log in. (See Logging in to your Huawei gateway for more information.)

      3. Click Network Setting (from the left-hand menu) > Wireless > General.

      4. Re-enter your Wireless Network Name or SSID.

      5. Click Apply.

2. Try your wireless connection again.
If it still doesn't work: Use Start a chat or Ask a question on the right side of this page. (If you’re using the mobile version of this site, tap Home then Contact us.) You’ll see different options depending on the time of day. Or, call 1-800-773-2121 anytime.
