Hello, everyone!
Today, I'd like to share a case with you.
DC908: V100R019C10SPC600
NCE: V100R019C00SPC602
Problem Description
After the DC908 is upgraded to SPC600, only one root account is reserved. Before backing up the DC908 or using other DC functions, you need to create an account. An account is successfully created and logged in to the DC using the new account. However, after an operation (for example, NE backup) is performed, an error message is displayed, and no specific message is displayed.

Problem Analysis
1. Check whether the account and password are correctly set.
2. Create a new account again. The problem persists.
3. The R&D engineer informed that after the DC908 is upgraded to SPC600, the password of a new account must be changed. Then I tried to change it to the current state (login as the root user), after the new password was changed successfully, the error persists after I attempted to perform the operation again.
4. After confirmation, the new account security mechanism of DC908 is as follows: A new account can take effect only after the password is changed. Before the password is changed, you can only log in to DC908 but cannot perform any operation. In addition, the password takes effect only after you change the password by yourself. This means that you need to switch the new account to the current login account of the NE and then change the password.
Root Cause
The new account security mechanism of the DC908 requires that a new account must be changed before the new account takes effect. In addition, the password can be changed only by yourself. However, NCE does not display a message indicating that the new user needs to change the password, or the user needs to log in to the NE login page when changing the password. No detailed error cause is displayed.
