Symptom
The symptoms are as follows:
- Images and words are unclear.
- The fax is sent successfully, but the peer party can only receive part of the pages.
Possible Causes
The possible causes are as follows:
- The network quality does not meet the requirement.
- The unified gateway is not grounded.
- The clock source has not been configured.
Procedure
- See Network Analysis check whether the network meet fax service requirement.
- If no, change the cables to check whether the fault is rectified.
- If yes, go to the next step.
- Connect the ground ling of unified gateway to check whether the fault is rectified.
- If the network connection is abnormal, verify that the network cables are connected properly.
- If the network connection is normal, go to the next step.
- See E1/T1 Trunk Exception whether the clock source is configured.
- If the fault still persists, collect detailed fault information and related logs by referring to Collecting and Reporting Fault Information and send them to the service provider.
