Hello everyone..

- Transponder is important item in optical network

- used to receive the optical signal from client side
- client May be router , base station or central office
- receive the signal in colorless band
- colorless band is the non DWDM band
- after receiving the colorless signal it will convert the signal to be colored
- colored band is L and C
- prefer to use C band because it has less attention coeficent which around 0.2 DB / km
- C band is from 1525 to 1565 Meter
- C band is from 192 to 196 Tera herttz
- we have w different types Transponder and muxponder
- difference between them is transponder multiple input multiple output  , muxponder is multiple input multiplexed into one output
- we use G652 , G653 ,G655 standards of single mode fiber
