Hello, friend!

You can use NCE to migrate ONT PON ports under the same OLT.

Service configuration is complex for PON ports. When PON ports are faulty or devices are relocated, service transfer is inefficient and error-prone. To address this issue, NCE provides the PON port migration tool that can swiftly transfer services on PON ports no matter how large the data volume is. After migration, services can run properly.

Context

PON service migration scenarios:

  • When the number of users connected to one board or a port is too large, you need to adjust them to two boards or two ports.

  • Upgrade, network exit, failure, and replacement about OLT devices.

  • Upgrade, failure, and replacement about boards.

  • Equipment room migration and reconstruction.

  • Customer number development and network capacity expansion require services to be replanned.

The PON migration tool supports the following scenarios:

  • Scenario 1: Migrate the entire PON port configurations within the same OLT.

  • Scenario 2: Migrate the entire PON port configurations across OLTs.

  • Scenario 3: Migrate some ONUs of a PON port to another PON port within the same OLT.

  • Scenario 4: Migrate some ONUs of a PON port to another PON port across OLTs.

Note: Entire PON port configuration migration indicates that all ONUs of a PON port of the source OLT are migrated to another PON port of the target OLT.

Perform the following steps to migrate data. For details, see the link.

1. Preparations Before Migration

2. Configuring PON Service Transfer

Thanks!
