HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello,

We configured the qos lr to limit the traffic on our S5700 switch. But the result shows that the traffic limitation configuration doesn’t take effect. The input bandwidth utilization shows that traffic exceeds the configured limitation. Can you confirm if we have the qos lr configuration correct?

Qos lr configuration:

[S5720]interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/17
[S5720-GigabitEthernet0/0/17]qos lr inbound cir 1000
[S5720-GigabitEthernet0/0/17]qos lr outbound cir 1000

The interface bandwidth utilization:

[S5720]display interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/17
GigabitEthernet0/0/17 current state :UP
Line protocol current state : UP
Description:
Switch Port, PVID :    1, TPID : 8100(Hex), The Maximum Frame Length is 1600
IP Sending Frames' Format is PKTFMT_ETHNT_2, Hardware address is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Current system time: 2008-11-06 13:56-08:00
Port Mode: COMMON COPPER
Speed :   1000,  Loopback: NONE
Duplex:FULL,  Negotiation: ENABLE
Mdi   : AUTO
Input bandwidth utilization threshold : 100.00%
    Output bandwidth utilization threshold: 100.00%
Input bandwidth utilization  :   4.15%  //The utilization exceeds the configured limitation.

Output bandwidth utilization :   0.79%

Hi,
The inbound traffic statistics function takes effect before interface-based rate limiting. That is, you cannot check whether interface-based rate limiting takes effect according to the traffic statistics. Run the display qos statistics interface inbound command on the S5720EI, S5720HI, S5730HI, S6720EI, S6720HI, and S6720S-EI to view traffic statistics after rate limiting is configured. In V200R010C00 and later versions, this command can be used on all switches to view traffic statistics after rate limiting is configured.
