Is it possible to start trace of LTE subscriber on cell by IMSI or MSISDN?

As far as I know, BTS3900 cannot start a subscriber tracing by IMSI or MSISDN, if you want to use IMSI or MSISDN to start a tracing task on the U2000, you need to select the core network NE.

Procedure is as follows:

  1. Choose Maintenance > Single-subscriber Trace from the menu bar, The Single-subscriber Trace page is displayed. Figure 1 shows the page.

  2. Click Add Trace. The Add Trace Type dialog box is displayed. Specify type for the tracing NE. Click OK.

    Option

    Description

    eCGP

    Go to Step 3.

    vUSN

    Go to Step 4.

  3. In the displayed Add User Trace Task dialog box, specify parameters for the tracing task.

  4. Choose an eCGP.
  5. Specify User ID. A user ID can be an MSISDN or an IMSI.

It is recommended that do not use both MSISDN and IMSI to trace the same user.

In the displayed Add User Trace Task dialog box shown in Figure 2, specify parameters for the tracing task. Table 1 describes the parameters.

Parameter

Description

Trace NE

Indicates the NE to be traced.

User ID

You can select IMSI, or MSISDN. It is recommended that do not use both MSISDN and IMSI to trace the same user.

Trace depth

This parameter indicates the message reporting level. You can select Minimum, Medium, Maximum, Vendor_Minimum, Vendor_Medium, or Vendor_Maximum.

Trace ID

The value is automatically generated by the system. You do not need to set it.

Trace Type

Indicates the tracing type.

Reason

Indicates the reason why the user creates the tracing task.

Click OK, the created task is displayed in the task list.

Good  
I cannot find this menu in BTS WebLMT or U2000 Signalling trace management.
We use other vendor MME, so trace is possible only on BTS side.
