Hello,

Today, I found a strange phenomenon.  

The AR1200 and another device (such as a switch) can ping each other.

The tracert operation also succeeds from the AR to the switch.

The problem is that the tracert operation fails from the switch to the AR.

All the services all normal.


<xx>tracert xx.xx.3.3

 traceroute to  xx.xx.3.3(xx.xx.3.3), max hops: 30 ,packet length: 40,press CTRL_C

 to break 

 1 xx.xx.18.2 10 ms  20 ms  20 ms

 3  *  *  *                                          (There should be IP address of the AR in the normal case.)

Hello @user_3751116,
The tracert function needs the destination device to send the ICMP port unreachable packets. However, to reduce the number of ICMP packets on the network and reduce the workload on the peer device, the AR routers does not send ICMP port unreachable packets by default.
Therefore, you should use the icmp port-unreachable send command enables the device to send ICMP port unreachable packets.
