[Toubleshooting] OSN 580 EGS4 cannot trace the Synchronous Ethernet Highlighted

Today , I'd like to share a case with you!

Problem Description

In the Clock Scource Priority page of U2000, configure trace the OSN 580 EGS4 card Synchronous Ethernet.

But OSN 580 cannot trace the Synchronous Ethernet

Problem Analysis

1. Check the EGS4 port, it is optical SFP which support Synchronous Ethernet(the electrical SFP cannot support Synchronous Ethernet)

2. Check the actual port work mode, it is 1000M full duplex which is normal(half dulex is abnormal for Synchronous Ethernet)

3. Check the Clock Attribute Configuration, find the port of EGS4 card is disabled which is by default. Eanble it and OSN 580 can trace the EGS4 Synchronous Ethernet

Root Cause

The EGS4 port Synchronous Ethernet is disabled cause OSN 580 cannot trace the Synchronous Ethernet

Solution

Enable the Synchronous Ethernet of OSN 580 EGS4.
