The network camera is a new generation of cameras that combine traditional cameras and network technologies. It can transmit images to the other side of the globe through the network, and the remote viewer can view the images without any professional software, as long as a standard web browser.

IPC camera

The network camera transmits images to the other end through transmission protocols, which may be:

  • RTP+RTSP: In normal network environments, clients can browse real-time audio and video.

  • HTTP: The administrator can control IPCs on the external network through HTTP.

  • TCP protocol

  • UDP (TCP)/HTTP protocol combination: adapts to complex Internet environments and can penetrate most network firewalls.

  • ......

Today's topic:

What is the transport protocol you are most familiar with, and what is your understanding of it?

Thanks for sharing, personally I like TCP protocols since they shake hands more times(3 way handshake)

More handshakes mean it's safer. I think you're a cautious man.

I like the UDP protocol. The hosts don't need to handshake! It is corona prevention!

@IndianKid
You're the opposite, one who likes to shake hands, one who doesn't.

DHCP - you don't have to manually configure IP for every user. Making life simple

I think DHCP is not a transport protocol, it can assign IPs to hosts.
Good
