Hello Community Members,

As you know that an exponential rise in internet traffic has urged Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to look for new technologies to cope with traffic demand and continuously evolve to compete in the market. From 1G to 4.5G (LTE-A), primary aim of the ISPs has always been ensuring improved customer experience.

Inception of 5th generation (5G) wireless communication is one of the endeavors in this regard to deal with rising traffic trends & provide improved Quality of Service (QoS). 5G, with its state of the art technological architecture, is integration of different inventions that provide low E2E latency, high data rate, better coverage, higher capacity & last but not the least, higher reliability than 4G.

Furthermore, energy efficiency, Ultra HD video gaming, Internet of things (IOT) enablement & Virtual/Augmented (AR/VR) realities are also distinguished feature of 5G that make it strong pillar of digital transformation. 5G uses Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) & Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) access technologies with Packet Switching (PS) as transmission mean.

With a bandwidth range of 30-300GHz, 5G can support from 10 to 50G data rate. In a nutshell, 5G has taken the wireless internet more towards Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) & IOT.

In your opinion what different 5G has in its pocket as compared to its preceding technologies?

5G technology will open a world of opportunities for the growth of technology, in part because of the low latency of the network.

The three key benefits of 5G networks are:
Much higher data rates (1-20 Gbit/s), enabling consumers to download content more quickly.
Much lower latency (1 ms), allowing users to experience less delay/lag when requesting data …
Increased capacity as the network expands.
