In the work of transmission network maintenance, we sometimes encounter one or more service interruptions. This kind of thing will bring troubles to customers. For the important key areas such as finance, transportation, energy, etc., it may cause the loss that cannot be counted. The fast and accurate repair of the fault is the basic requirement for our network maintenance workers.

There are different causes of Services distrupion:
Type of alarm in the T2000 will tell you whatbiavghe cause of service disruption, normal alarmsMUt LOS, OSS, LOS, LOF, OOF, Shnc loss etc,
Step 1 is to dispatch transmission and optic fiber team to the site to check hardware, patch cord and Dark fiber to the site
Mean while NOc team check the all the possibilities,
Common possibilities are as below:
1. Hardware Failure e.g amplifier, line card, excessive heat may cause the card to shutdown
2. Patch cord Faulty or unplugged by some inexperience team working on site.
3. Dark fiber cut and no other traffic path available e.g in case of Flat rings, outage.
4. Power failure on site and batteries are faulty, or some power issue on site.
5. Issue with clock, primary clock system is not working and Scondary clockwise not configured. Both clocked failure. System works in clock free running state.
6. Hardware for different vendors may start creating synchronisation problem, need to reset in order to available the clock conflict.

The causes of service interruption in telecom:
- Battery backup failed
- Power Distribute Units remote failed
- Got high temperature on equipment
- Water damage also include
- LAN connection from equipment to other equipment failed
- And many reasons from natural effect

What are the backup methods?

Here is a list of all major reasons why you could be facing a network downtime:


1-Faults, errors or discards in network devices

2-Device configuration changes
3-Operational human errors and mismanagement of devices
4-Link failure caused due to fibre cable cuts or network congestion
5-Power outages
6-Server hardware failure
7-Security attacks such as denial of service (DoS)
8-Failed software and firmware upgrade or patches
9-Incompatibility between firmware and hardware device
10-Unprecedented natural disasters and ad hoc mishaps on the network such as a minor accidents, or even as unrelated as a rodent chewing through a network line, etc.

1- fiber cut switch to protection or repair fiber
2- configuration amendments correct configuration
3- hardware faultswitch to protection or replace hardware
4- power supply repairing power problem // connecting approprite power breaker
5- air condition repairing condition problem
6- software upgradefollowing document steps for upgrade
7- onsite hard workingfollowing working procedures 
8- bad installationfixing the bad installationlike loose connections

Hello, in my experience the main failures in the data transmission network are due to
-Prolonged power failure.
-Fiber optic cable cut by accident or damage to the outside plant.
-Optical jumper fault.
-Hardware failure in older network elements that must already be replaced by better ones.
