"How fiber optic communication has changed our lives and work?" This is an interesting question.
I’m pretty sure that everyone has to say only good things, like:
- You can easily create friends and relationships with people from different parts of the world.
- It has revolutionized jobs, in the context of the pandemic, we have all discovered that it is very easy to work from home and it is not a necessity to go to the office. Apart from that, a lot of new jobs were born.
- Reduces waiting time for different services.
- Creating many opportunities to spend your free time, from Netflix, HBOGO and other platforms where you can watch movies and series, to the gaming industry, entertainment applications and social media platforms.
- You can access and find news from any country, accessing a single website. The amount of information you have access to it is infinite.
- It has had a major impact on the economy of many countries, as you tend to move to a foreign market, where you can buy the same product considerably cheaper.
And many other exceptional life changing benefits.
But does this easy access to information have negative effects on us? Or on children?
I have a question for all of you: Can you imagine living without a mobile phone and without internet access?
Let's take the example of social platforms, their use has increased depression and anxiety of many people significantly, sometimes to the extreme. The rate of adolescents reporting symptoms of major depression in a given year increased by 52% from 2005 to 2017. From 2009 to 2017, it grew by 63% in adults ages 18 to 25. And this study was published in 2017, now it is 2021 and believe me, the numbers are worse than ever.
At the same time, having the possibility to work from home, you no longer have that break between the time from home to the office, in which you distance yourself from the problems related to work. There is no longer a barrier between the personal plan and the professional plan, and this can cause depression and anxiety again.
With easy access to information and the creation of an application or the purchase of a remote controlled robot that can easily replace a person's workplace, many people have become unemployed, coming from a generation that does not fully understand how the Internet works and does not it is easy to adjust to the century of speed.
Sometimes we can't understand jobs like: Vlogger, TikTok-er, YouTube-er, influencer. People who only spend time on the internet and make more money than most of us do not earn in a lifetime.
I think we went a little deeper into this question than was the case, but in the end yes, communication with fiber optics has changed our lives a lot and is not good for everyone.

The installation of fiber optics has improved communication and production processes in companies and administrations and, of course, has significantly improved the proliferation of business solutions in the cloud, real-time communication and teleworking.

hi dear members ,

to know the optical fiber , you should have a look on how was communication just before optical era.

locally , To connect 2 switches or 2 point in the same city , they used to use Coaxial cables to send 2Mb/s for 2 km and to expand distance , there should be a repeater located in a manhole .

between cities and adjacent countries there were Microwave system which were dominating for a time . users usually get the message ( sorry . all lines are busy try calling later ) .
the protection was poor by diversity or manually change and weather sometimes makes a major problems .

between far counties Earth stations was the only solution , which was very expensive and there were periodic cut while solar winds every year.

thinking of fast speed or a global network was realy awkward.

the optical era is totally a new life , new ambitions , new speed based on light speed and glass beauty.

optical communication made all dreams come true in a very short time, countries and companies start building optical nets buried down the earth , hanged on poles or submerged down the sea , connecting continents , countries , cities and even homes .
the miracle of the one huge network (Internet) , be reality and messages of (sorry, lines are busy), became history.

traffic become totally save , As protection be electrical and optical at every possible direction.

based on optical cabaplilities , and bandwidth grwoth , life of general users , business and countries changed through enjoying a variety of commuincations services like Video , data , TV , conferences , learning , clouding , medicine ..etc.

Also communication companies get a great benefits and profits of using optical , through
1- overcome old systems small limitations and difficulties .
2- leasing transmission capacities .
3- having great protection and so providing SLA .
4- overcome last_mile problem and so providing high speed to the end users .
5- providing high speed to mobile stations and so providing 5G services .

these are some points , I liked to share with you , but my personal belive about optical is indescribable.
