Hello everyone.

We have a long (40 km) distance link between 2 Sites A and B with CE6881 switches, connected by 40GBASE_ER4 transceivers.

On Site B we see too low incoming signal value just only on Lane0:

!

Current RX Power (dBm)   :-40.00|-19.43(Lane0|Lane1)

                                          -19.28|-17.06(Lane2|Lane3)

On Site A incoming signal is good:

!

 Current RX Power (dBm)  :-19.83|-18.89(Lane0|Lane1)

                                          -18.04|-16.35(Lane2|Lane3)

Tx Power on both Sites is identical, but :

!

Current TX Power (dBm)   :-1.46|-0.80  (Lane0|Lane1)

                                          -1.16|-0.85  (Lane2|Lane3)

What's the problem - optical cable or transceiver?

Hi friend!

Transceiver-power-low

If the transmit optical power is too low, you are advised to replace the local optical module.

If the receive optical power is too low, you are advised to replace the peer optical module.

If the fault is not rectified, check the links.

Hope to help you!
