Symptom
To make a call to a public network number, users under the IAD in the UC project on a dedicated network need to press 0 and then dial the public network number. When a user makes a call to a public network number, the IDA plays an announcement indicating that the called number does not exist. However, when the user makes a call to a remote public network special number such as 010114, the call is connected properly. When the user makes a national toll call on the soft terminal, the call is connected properly.
Possible Cause
- The user does not have the national toll call permission.
- The trunk to the carrier has insufficient permission or the permission is restricted by the carrier.
- The data configuration is incorrect.
Solution
- Check the user permission. The user has the national toll call permission.
- Determine whether the carrier raises restrictions. The office migrates from the circuit switch to the softswitch, and the problem does not occur before the migration. Therefore, the cause that the carrier raises restrictions is ruled out.
- Use the soft terminal to make a national toll call. The call is connected properly. Then check the called numbers. Toll calls fail to be made to called number of eight digits, and the digitmap is set to 0XXXXXXX. This is the possible cause of the fault. After the digitmap is deleted, the fault is rectified.
Suggestions
In the original digitmap, the public network number starting with 0 is set to eight digits. When the number of digits reaches eight, digits are collected regardless of whether dialing is completed. This fault occurs when total digits in the public network number reaches eight.
