A NodeB and PTN 3900 cannot negotiate through the IMA group. The following figure shows the test setup.

Hello be_lo,

Please find below the solution for your issue

  1. Check whether the IMA group attributes of the two devices are consistent.

Basic attributes such as trunk numbers, link numbers, and frame formats of IMA groups are consistent. The IMA group configurations are correct.

  2. Perform self loop tests on IMA ports.

The self loop operations succeed and hardware is working properly. The negotiation between NodeB and PTN 3900 fails due to incorrect configurations.

  3. Query the minimum number of activated links.

The minimum number of activated links is 1. The minimum number of activated links is correct.

  4. Query the E1 frame formats.

The E1 frames of both devices are in the CRC-4 format. The frame formats for the two devices are consistent.

  5. Query the scrambling attributes of ATM cells.

The scrambling function is enabled for both devices. The scrambling modes of both devices are consistent.

  6. Query the clock modes of the IMA groups.

Both devices use the independent transmit clock (ITC) mode. The clock modes of both devices are consistent.

  7. Query the timeslots of IMA groups.

One IMA group has 30 timeslots, whereas the other IMA group has 31 timeslots. The IMA group negotiation failure is caused by inconsistent timeslots.

  8. Ensure that the number of timeslots are consistent for the local and peer IMA groups.

I hope that my answer is clear
