Hello dears,

I have a VCN3010 with third party cameras connected (which support H.265) but on the VCN, the only option i can configure is H.264. Do you know why there´s no H265 option for these cameras?

Regards

Hello, MJC19!

Thanks for choosing our community!

Please tell me what is the version of VCN3010? The previous version of V1R2C50SPC100 does not support H265.

I am waiting for your feedback!

Hello,

The possible cause is that the ONVIF configuration item is not enabled.

Please log in to the third party camera interface

In the camera interface, go to the settings and find out the ONVIF protocol

Once you found, choose to enable the ONVIF protocol.

After enable the protocol, you can set the ONVIF protocol settings which similar tothe photo I provided.

The ONVIF version should be clicked start from the lowest version to the highest version to see whether the VCN3010 can detect the third party camera or not.

Root Cause : Didn't enable the ONVIF protocol on third party camera

Solution : Enabled the ONVIF protocol

Hello dear, the VCN recognizes the camera, but it only allows to configure H264 (despite the camera has H265 enabled)

Hi @MJC19  :

If the third party camera support H.265 and is connected by ONVIF must be recognized by the VCN3010.

Maybe is better if you open a ticket to the Huawei Engineer in your region.

In this URL's you can find the Official Documentacion about your case.
