Hello, friend!

When a service board detects that a user port is connected to a rogue optical network terminal (ONT) that does not support Huawei-defined extended physical layer operation, administration, and management (PLOAM), or does not support enabling and disabling the transmit power of the optical module, the system can neither identify the ONT nor automatically isolate the ONT. As a result, the system generates this alarm.

If the alarm is generated, the possible causes are as follows:

  • A rogue ONT is connected to the port and the ONT does not support Huawei-defined extended PLOAM, or does not support enabling and disabling the transmit power of the optical module.

  • An ONT connected to the device is faulty and is considered as a rogue ONT.

Thanks!
