Possible Causes:
- Serial port parameters are incorrectly specified.
- The power supply is faulty, or the device is powered off.
- The cable is not properly connected.
Fault Diagnosis:
- Check whether the serial port parameters are correctly specified.
- Check whether the power is faulty through the panel indicator.
- Remove and re-insert or replace the cable to check whether the cable is faulty.
Procedure:
1. Check whether the port is a correct COM port. The parameters are as follows:
- Baud rate: 9600
- Data-bit: 8
- Stop-bit: 1
- Parity: none
- Flow control: none
2. Check the panel indicator. If the power indicator is blinking, the power supply is not faulty. Otherwise, you can determine that the entire device is powered off. For details, see Power Fault
3. Check whether the cable is fixed securely. Replace it with a cable that is normally used before. If the fault is rectified, the cable is faulty.
