This time, I will share with you a case about the user failing to create the VC4 server trail on the MS trail.
Problem Description
Three WDM NEs map SDH ports (ports 51 and 52). When a user creates the VC4 server trail, the system reports an error and fails to find the route.
An MS trail exists between the WDM equipment at site A and the WDM equipment at site B. An MS trail also exists between site B and site C. Generally, when an MS trail exists, a VC4 server trail can be established on the MS trail. However, when creating two VC4 server trails from A to B and B to C, the first VC4 server trail succeeds and the second VC4 server trail fails. The fiber connections and NEs are normal.
Handling Procedure
After checking, it is found that MS trails are displayed in the physical topology of the NMS, but the MS trails do not exist in the window for creating the VC4 server trail. Therefore, the VC4 server trail cannot be created.
The MS trail is carried over the ODU1 trail. Therefore, delete the ODU1 trail at the network layer and search for it again. The system automatically generates a new MS trail. Then the VC4 service trail is successfully created again.
Root Cause
Data of different functional modules of NMS is not synchronized.
Solution
Delete the ODU1 trail at the network layer and search for it again. The system automatically generates a new MS trail.
