[Symptom]
After installing V6.0 MediaX and connecting to the email server, scheduling the meeting was successful, but no email notification was received.
[Analysis]
1. Analysis of the HTTP message
In the HTTP message tracking, it can be seen that the predefined participants filled in the mail information.
2. Log analysis
View the running log of MediaX. MediaX fails to send a message to the mail server. The log prompts ‘AuthenticationFailedException’. Usually, this kind of error indicates that the account password is incorrect.
[Root cause]
The account password of the connecting mail server is incorrect, causing the mail server authentication and mail sending failures.
[Solution]
Use the correct account and password when connecting to the mail server.
