Hello,
Today I would like to share with you when the system temperature is too high due to a fan frame failure. The UA5000 broadband main control board restarts repeatedly.
Problem Description
Broadband services under the UA5000 repeatedly fail, and the corresponding port status of the upper-layer switch repeatedly becomes UP/DOWN when the fault occurs.
Networking: UA5000 (IPMB)-Layer 3 switch
Warning message
The ADSL port generates an automatic deactivation/activation alarm due to line reasons.
Process
1. When a broadband service failure is reported from the front, the narrowband voice service in the same frame is normal, and the power supply problem of the frame is eliminated.
2. The equipment was originally used normally and no one has operated the equipment. If it is a link problem, it needs to be confirmed on site.
3. When the UA5000 is normal, log in to the device to query the alarm information, and only the ADSL port will automatically deactivate/activate the alarm due to line reasons.
4. If there is a problem with the main control board, the main control board must be replaced on site for testing.
5. According to the feedback from the front, the weather at the fault site has been relatively hot these days. Check the temperature of the device (command: display temperature) and found that the system temperature is relatively high (86 degrees). On-site inspection found that the cabinet fan frame was faulty and the cabinet temperature was high. The problem of replacing the fan frame was solved.
Root cause
1. The power supply of the UA5000 is unstable.
2. Uplink problems.
3. The IPM main control board is faulty.
4. The ambient temperature is too high.
Conclusions
For the problem that the device restarts inexplicably, you need to consider whether the device temperature is too high;
Query the temperature of the device: display temperature (query the system temperature without entering the box slot)
