The timing on the CCTV DVR is out of sync

This topic describes how to deal with the problem that the timing of the CCTV DVR is out of sync.

Problem description

The timing on the CCTV DVR is out of sync. Each IPC Camera time is not the same and the recording time is also not the same.

Analysis progress

The timing on the CCTV DVR is out of sync, the search parameters are out by around 2 hours 15 minutes.

Root cause

Didn't add the NTP server IP address in the system.

Solution description

The NTP server was added and the VCN can synchronize the time with the NTP server.

Configuring the NTP Clock Source

1. Log in to the OMU portal of the VCN as the Admin user.

2. Choose Local Configuration > Server Configuration.
   

3. Set the NTP clock source.
   

4. Set The NTP clock source server to Yes. Set the IP address of the NTP server.
   

5. Click Save.
