Problem phenomenon
The TE40 directly connected to the 5700 switch cannot be connected to the network. Other devices can connect to the switch.
The TE40 is directly connected to the PC and can be pinged to the PC.
problem analysis
1. The TE40 is directly connected to the PC. You can ping the PC to indicate that there is no problem with the terminal network card.
2. Check the network mode of the terminal and switch, and negotiate 1000M full duplex. After the network port mode of the terminal and the switch is 100M full-duplex, the network connection of the terminal is restored and the other devices can be pinged.
3. After the customer replaces the terminal cable as a standard Category 6 cable, the terminal network connection returns to normal.
problem causes
The negotiation between the terminal and the switch exceeds 1000M full-duplex. The network cable of the current network is not a Category 6 cable. It does not support 1000M full-duplex, which may result in network failure.
Treatment plan
Solution 1: Configure the network mode of the terminal and the directly connected switch to 100M full duplex.
Option 2: Replace the network cable of the terminal with a standard Category 6 cable.
