Description
To manage the system resources effectively, you can run the resource threshold mem command to set the memory overload threshold, and run the resource threshold cpu command to set the CPU overload threshold. When detecting that the usage of a system resource, such as the memory resource, packet resource, or CPU resource, exceeds the preset threshold, the system generates this alarm.
NOTE:
The packet resource is not available to query and set, the default threshold of packet resource is 80%.

Parameters
|
Name |
Meaning |
|
Resource name |
The name of a resource to which the alarm pertains. The resource can be memory resource, packet resource, or CPU resource. |
|
Current percent |
The usage of a resource to which the alarm pertains. |
Impact on the System
The service quality deteriorates, and even the services are interrupted.
Possible Causes
The usage of a system resource exceeds the threshold.
Procedure
1. Run the display resource threshold mem command or the display resource threshold cpu command to check whether the configured memory overload threshold or the CPU overload threshold is proper.
l If the memory overload threshold or the CPU overload threshold is proper, go to 3.
l If the memory overload threshold or the CPU overload threshold is inappropriate, go to 2.
2. Run the resource threshold mem command to adjust the memory overload threshold, or run the resource threshold cpu command to adjust the CPU overload threshold. Then, check whether this alarm persists.
l If this alarm persists, go to 3.
l If this alarm is cleared, go to 5.
3. Release certain system resources, for example, restrict the number of online users, to reduce the system load. Then, check whether this alarm persists.
l If this alarm persists, go to 4.
l If this alarm is cleared, go to 5.
4. Contact Huawei for technical support.
5. End.
