This post is about the issue that the system prompts that the file is invalid When whenever the license file is imported. Please find below the solution to tackle this.
[Diagnostic]
Installed the VC6.0 version of MediaX on a RH2288 server and then configured MediaX and applied for the license successfully. Imported the license on the Sysportal page and the system prompts that the file is invalid.
MediaX version: V600R006C00SPC300
[Analysis]
1. Checked the methods of the license file update.
a) Versions before V6.0:
Change the license file name to mdxLicense.dat and import the license file of MediaX on the ATCA and run the UPDATE LICENSE command to update the license.
b) The version of V6.0:
Import the license file on Sysportal directly, as it has no limit for the file name and it also supports the method a).
2. Analyzed the license file
Opened the license file; the Product item is CloudMediaX3600 and the type should be MediaX3600 on the RH2288. When applying for a license on the ESDP platform, the MediaX type is MediaX3600 and the version is V600R006.
[Root cause]
The product type is wrong when applying for the license.
When the VC6.0 version of MediaX is installed on RH2288 server, the license type should be MediaX3600 not CloudMediaX3600.
[Solution]
Re-apply for the license.
