Hello, everyone!

This time, I have some important information about the Intra-Board 1+1 Protection of the OSN1800 to remind you of the transmission network workers.

Background of the event

A large number of Huawei OptiX OSN 1800s can be used at the access layer of the transmission network. For important channels, we need Network Level Protection. For example, the customer intends to use the LTX board and OLP board to realize the dual terminal switching function of intra-board 1+1 protection. The following figure shows the topology:

According to the performance of the board, only single-ended switching can be implemented in this case, but not dual-ended switching. 

The switching scheme of the intra-board 1+1 protection scenario:

1. The C15X5 board only supports bidirectional switching.

2. Bidirectional switching is supported only by the following boards when Protocol Type is set to Enhanced Style: F1LDX (STND), F2ELOM (STND)/F3ELOM, F2LSX, F2LDX/F3LDX, B1ELOM, and B1LDX.

3. When intra-board 1+1 protection is implemented using an OLP board, only unidirectional switching is supported.

According to the above-specified information, the LTX board doesn't include in the list. So the LTX board cannot be used to implement bidirectional switching.
