This post will tell you one issue for The SSN4EGS4 Board of an OSN 3500 Reported an IN_PWR_LOW Alarm When No Signal Was Received.
Problem description:
The SSN4EGS4 board of an OSN 3500 reported ETH_LOS and IN_PWR_LOW alarms after the external port was enabled. In normal cases, the board does not report an IN_PWR_LOW alarm.
NE software version: 5.21.18.50
SSN4EGS4 board version: 1.14
Handling procedure:
To address the issue, Huawei performed the following operations and observed the following information:
1. Checked the signal input of the SSN4EGS4 board. No signal was sent to the SSN4EGS4 board. The ETH_LOS and IN_PWR_LOW alarms persisted after the alarm list was initialized.
2. checked the matching relationship between the NE software version and the board version. The NE version matched the board version. The fault persisted after the SSN4EGS4 board was replaced.
3. Confirmed that the fault was triggered by the SSN4EGS4 board software. The fault was rectified after the software was upgraded to 1.17.
Root cause:
The alarms were falsely reported due to a defect in the SSN4EGS4 board software.
Solution:
Upgrade the SSN4EGS4 board software to 1.17.
