HI
when the SRV indicator is RED that means ((A critical or major alarm occurs in the services))
to know the exact reason you should check the alarm in the management .

the PQ1 has 63 E1 , alarm could be by one or many channels for example due to a loss in one or many channels received signal ((T_Alos)) or a cut in one or many channels like ((TU_AIS)) .

you can have indication about what is the alarm , by checking how many broken channels in the customer side , and by checking if there is a higher order alarm (like a leaser cut in the LINE board )

regards

Hi user!

The SRV indicator is a service alarm indicator. The indicator status is described as follows:
On (green): The service is normal.
On (red): A critical or major service alarm is present.
On (yellow): A minor or remote service alarm is present.
Off: No service is configured.

You can check on network management system

Thanks!

Hello,

  • Service alarm indicator (SRV) - three colors (red, green, and yellow)

For the meanings of the status of the indicators, see Indicators.

The PQ1 processes E1 signals, processes overhead bytes, reports alarms and performance events, provides maintenance features, and supports the TPS protection.

Table 1 provides the functions and features of the PQ1.

Table 1 Functions and features of the PQ1
Function and FeaturePQ1
N1PQ1N2PQ1
Basic functionsProcesses 63xE1 signals.Processes 63xE1 signals.
Service processingProcesses 63xE1 electrical signals when working with the interface board.
  • Processes 63xE1 electrical signals when working with the interface board.

  • Supports the E13 function, which is used to converge E1 services into E3 services.

Overhead processingSupports the processing of the path overheads at the VC-12 level, such as the J2 byte.
Alarms and performance eventsReports various alarms and performance events, which facilitates the management and maintenance of the equipment.
Maintenance features
  • Supports inloops and outloops at electrical interfaces.

  • Supports warm resets and cold resets. The warm reset does not affect services.

  • Supports the query of the manufacturing information of the board.

  • Supports the in-service loading of the FPGA.

  • Supports the upgrade of the board software without affecting services.

  • Supports the PRBS function. For details, see Availability.

  • The N1PQ1 does not support the CRC function, but the N2PQ1 supports the CRC function.

  • Hot board swapping.

Protection schemes

Supports the TPS protection when working with the interface board.

  • The N1PQ1 supports hybrid protection. When the working board is the N1PQ1, the protection board can be the N1PQ1, N2PQ1, or N1PQM.

  • The N2PQ1 does not support hybrid protection. When the working board is the N2PQ1, the protection board can only be the N2PQ1.

Thanks
