Partner consultation: What are the specific requirements and precautions for fiber optic installation in the RGU system?
Solution:
The requirements and precautions for optical cables are as follows:
1. If the loss is less than or equal to the system design value, there should be no insertion loss event greater than 0.1 dB within 0-10km of the remote pump unit at the receiving end, and no insertion loss event greater than 0.2 dB in 10-20km.
2. All optical cables between the pump unit and the RGU must be spliced (including the pump output optical fiber and line optical fiber connected to the ODF). It is recommended that all optical cables in the Ropa subsystem be spliced.
Note: For new optical cables constructed by Huawei, the additional loss required for single point splicing is less than 0.08 dB (China's national standard for optical cable construction). If the single-point loss test exceeds the standard, bidirectional test methods must be used for confirmation, that is, use the OTDR to calculate the attenuation value obtained by the splicing point in two directions. Note that the OTDR attenuation test may be negative and the symbol bit must be substituted for the arithmetic average. If the fiber splicing loss still exceeds the threshold, adjust the attenuation value.
3. If the RGU installation point is less than or equal to 50 km away from the installation point, the fiber adapter jumper cannot be used. If the fiber adapter needs to be connected, use the fiber splicing mode.
4. When the optical fiber is spliced, mark the straight-through line fiber to ensure that the fiber is the same as the optical fiber before the fiber is cut.
5. During the construction of the optical cable, the fiber connection box in the middle of the line should be spliced and installed to the fiber link to provide sufficient margin.
