The region of Interest (ROI) Encoding
Network bandwidth allocated for different regions of an image is the same. Therefore, low network bandwidth can usually provide low quality of the entire image.
With the total code streams unchanged, ROI encoding technology allocates more code streams for several specified regions on the image (ROIs) and less code streams for the other regions with the same total code streams. The image quality of the ROIs is therefore higher.
