Hi,

A customer has two some S6730H, the rate of the interfaces on a switch is 40GE and the rate of the other one is 100G.

Does anyone know how to handle this? Thanks.

Hi Steelblue,

Different speed rates may be due to different part numbers for the switches. Please check and confirm that the part numbers on the two devices are the same or different.

On the S6730-H24X6C (part number: 02352FSG) and S6730-H48X6C (part number: 02352FSF), the default rate of QSPF28 interfaces is 40 Gbit/s.

On the S6730-H24X6C (part number: 02353GFC), S6730S-H, and S6730-H48X6C (part number: 02353FWL), by default, the license has been loaded, and the rate of QSPF28 interfaces is 100 Gbit/s.

You can use the assign port-speed command to change the maximum rate of interfaces to 40/100 Gbit/s.

I hope it helps.

Hi
100GE QSFP28 interfaces support 40GE and 100GE optical module auto-sensing. The default uplink port is 40GE, which needs to be upgraded to 100GE through the license. The value before the slash (/) refers to the device's switching capability, while the value after the slash (/) means the chip's switching capability.
