This post is about the proper installation of the Face Capture camera. Please see below.
There are 3 types of resolutions for the multiple face snapshot camera models such as 2MP, 1080P and 4K cameras. These cameras are used for capturing human faces at entrances/exits of buildings, corridors and sidewalks.
There are factors affecting the resulting view of the camera, therefore, to get the optimal face snapshot, the face image size must meet the requirement depending on the resolution.
When using a 2MP camera, a minimum requirement of 50 by 50 pixels;
When using a 1080P camera, a minimum requirement of 75 by 75 pixels;
When using a 4K camera, a minimum requirement of 150 by 150 pixels.
Consideration of the angle of the camera is a must. Ensure that the captured image of the face is not tilted, which is ideal for face detection to be able to capture the best angle of the face for data recording and analyzing.
It is acceptable to have a face capture of 30 degrees from left and right angle and 15 degrees from up and down angle from the face. If the angle goes beyond that range, the detection accuracy will be affected and might not be able to perform and capture at its best angle.

Incorrect installation: Height installation is too high, doesn't capture a good facial angle

Correct installation: Height installation of camera is at 3.5 meters (recommended range of 2.5-3.5m)
It has a proper view of the face angle and easy for face capture and recognition
Consider Blocked Face during Capture
There are situations that blockings of the face occur, such as blocked by a mask, sunglasses, hats, etc. that may affect the result of the face capture especially if having a facial recognition feature. Therefore, the location of the camera must meet the optimal installation position and height to achieve the optimal effect.
Camera Installation Requirements
The proper height and shooting angle can improve image quality, face size and the tilt of the angle of the face. At the same time, they help avoid face blocking so that the facial images of pedestrians of all heights can be captured.
There is a height measure recommendation of 2.5 to 3.5 meters and a shooting angle of 15 degrees.

Camera installation: Height at 3.5m and shooting angle at 15 degrees
(Note: Red area - Identification Zone at 250 pixels per meter
Yellow area - Recognition Zone at not less than 125 pixels per meter)
Note:
The installation of face capture at door entrances, if the camera location is far from the entrance, you may consider these changes:
1. Choose a camera with higher resolution (to have a clearer image of the captured face);
2. Make the field of view narrower (to focus on the entrance area only)
Additionally, install the camera wherein the environment is under even illumination. The desired luminance is 70 lux or above and there should be no backlight or strong light. Avoid an illumination that causes faces to be half blocked by a shadow.
The installation distance depends on the focal length of the camera lens; therefore, it is best to check the camera documentation to be able to identify its maximum focal length and recommended distance from the viewing angle to the installation location of the camera.
After the installation:
Setting up the parameters and network information is done after the physical installation of the camera.
1. Log in to the web client of the camera.
2. Set the network parameters (IP address, subnet mask, etc.).
3. There are numerous intelligent analyses depending on the camera model, such as intrusion detection, line crossing detection, region entrance/exiting detection, audio exception detection, motion detection, video tampering alarm and many more. In the case of the face capture feature, indicate the intelligent analysis for face capture.
4. For facial parameters, enable the snapshot function on the facial parameter page and view the captured facial images.
5. Adjusting the focal length and zoom parameters based on the actual snapshot may also be done in the facial parameter page.
