Problem Description
An OptiX OSN 8800 NE is connected to an OptiX OSN 9800 UPS subrack, and a PATCH BD MATCH FAIL alarm is reported.
Problem Analysis
1. Checked the alarms on the NE and found that a PATCH_BD_MATCH_FAIL alarm was reported. The alarm parameters indicated the board in slot 2-21.

2. Check the master/slave subrack type of the current NE. The OptiX OSN 8800 is connected to one OptiX OSN 9800 UPS subrack.

4. After discussion with R&D experts, it is confirmed that this problem is caused by patch package preparation.
The board software of the OptiX OSN 8800 is the same as that of the 9800UPS TN52SCC/TN13OLP (DCP) /TN16AUX/TN18EFI, but the PATs in the OptiX OSN 8800 V100R013C00SPC200SPH220 patch package and the OptiX OSN 9800 UPS V100R006C10SPC200SPH220 patch package are different, when these boards are dragged or installed in two subracks, , and these boards are loaded with the SPH220 patch, the PATCH_BD_MATCH_FAIL alarm (the alarm parameter is the slot ID of the board) is reported on the boards that are newly installed in the subrack or to which the subrack is dragged.
Root Cause
The board software of the OptiX OSN 8800 is the same as that of the 9800UPS TN52SCC/TN13OLP (DCP) /TN16AUX/TN18EFI, but the PATs in the OptiX OSN 8800 V100R013C00SPC200SPH220 patch package and the OptiX OSN 9800 UPS V100R006C10SPC200SPH220 patch package are different, when these boards are dragged or installed in two subracks, , and these boards are loaded with the SPH220 patch, the PATCH_BD_MATCH_FAIL alarm (the alarm parameter is the slot ID of the board) is reported on the boards that are newly installed in the subrack or to which the subrack is dragged.
Solution Description
Manually clear the patch packages of the boards in the slave subrack, and then the system automatically initiates the matching again (in the maintenance window).
