The New Point System - Notice

Dear users,



In order to provide a better user experience, we will simplify the point system and adjust the virtual currencies (E Coins, eNectar and training scores,) plus user levels (reputation score).


The current point system of the Huawei Enterprise Support Community will get fully upgraded on May 18th, 2019.


E coins, eNectar, and training points will no longer be issued after the new system is online.

1. What has changed?


Up until now, there were four types of virtual currency


  • Reputation


  • E Coins


  • E Nectars


  • Training bonus points



The Reputation score will change to Experience points (XP).


The other three types (E Coins, E Nectars and the Training Points) will merge into a new currency: HiCoins

 

2. What are the HiCoins?


The HiCoin is the new type of virtual currency used in the Huawei Enterprise Support Community. Users are rewarded HiCoins for certain actions; for example, logging in to the community or posting and replying to posts in the community. Just like the last time, users will be able to exchange them into various prizes on the community’s Rewards page.

 

3. How will my old points get converted into HiCoins?


Each type of currency will have a specific conversion formula:

4. When will the conversion take place?

Note: The Huawei Enterprise Support Community has the reserved the right to interpret the virtual currency and related level rules. If you have any suggestions or opinions, please send them to e_online@huawei.com.

 

5. How can I gain HiCoins?


The following table lists the actions for which users are rewarded HiCoins. Please keep in mind that the table is in the process of being updated.

(1)*Promising new technician of the month= the user has completed the following:

·           Commented/Replied at least 20 times

·           Comments/Replies received a "Helpful" award at least 5 times.



(2)*Autobiographer = the user has completed the following:

·           Set up his contact e-mail address

·           Set up his nationality

·           Set up his nickname

·           Set his avatar


Note:


In order to gain HiCoins, users must consent to the Community rules and regulations.


No form of cheating is allowed.


Once found, the HiCoins in the account will be removed and the user will receive an email notification.


If you have not logged in for more than 180 days, the HiCoins in your account will be deleted.



6. How could I use the HiCoins I gain?


Go to the Rewards page, check the prizes, select one and exchange them with your HiCoins.



Note:


  • Huawei employees are not allowed to exchange HiCoins unless otherwise specified.


  • If any change to this rule is made, a notice will be released in a timely manner. The right of interpreting this rule is reserved for the Huawei Enterprise Support Community.



7. User Levels 


  • What is the User Level?


A user level represents a user's technical contribution to the Huawei Enterprise Support Community. Users can perform certain actions to gain points and raise their level.

9. The referral system


Users are now able to invite their friends and get rewarded for that.

Note: when the newly invited users register through their mobile phone number and the following page shows up, they must wait for it to redirect them to the Community. Clicking on the "Back" button (and not waiting for the page to automatically redirect) will result in no HiCoins rewards for both the invited users and the other inviters.
