Hello friends.

I will share with you a question about the problem that the network element cannot be uploaded after the UV upgrade.

Problem phenomenon

After an OSN 9600 or OSN 9800 is upgraded from V100R001 to V100R002 or later by using NE Software Management, the NE data cannot be uploaded to the U2000, and many functions are unavailable.

Problem analysis

After the upgrade, the OSN 9800 is switched to the VRP platform but is still managed by the USP NE management process. As a result, all operations on the NE will fail.

Processing

If the U2000 version is earlier than CP2012, it does not support a smooth upgrade. In this case, delete the NE and recreate it on the U2000.

If the U2000 version is CP2012 or later, enable a smooth upgrade before upgrading the NE software in NE Software Management. Specifically, do as follows:

1. Log in to the MSuite.

2. Choose Tools > Config Manager from the main menu.

3.  In the Config Manager window, click Filter. Search for the b_UVupgrade configuration item of the TRANS subsystem.

4. Double-click the configuration item, change its value to 1, and click OK.

If a smooth upgrade is disabled and the customer does not want to delete the NE, fix the issue by manually modifying the database. For details about how to modify the database, contact Huawei R&D engineers.

That's all, I welcome everyone to leave a message and exchange in the comment area!

Thank you!
