Hi,
You need to check whether the IP address of your PC is in the same network segment as the IP address of the device.

i barely knowing/using the public ip address. usually using my private ddns for something to do with public.
but the sure thing that the modem address is: http://192.168.100.1/
i read all the instructions. none of these things works.

is this from huawei vendor, or what?

Huawei is one of Elite commercial company in this earth planet. their productions and distrubutions were over 1 millions products around the world.

i think huawei really professional. if the manual book/instruction said "A", then it must be "A".

what's wrong...

do you know mean of "ELITE" nor "High Class" ???

even "Barack Obama" when become a president at United States of America have no rights to change it ( the original firmware from the Huawei vendor ). because that is FATAL. how if 200 million peoples having trouble almost same with me? at the other side, it can be damaging "HUAWEI" reputations.

the original firmware was made by the vendor ( Huawei ). so the "reset" button always function.

does my modem firmware is not original anymore or what?

Hello, friend!

I'm sorry for the bad experience, but usually logging in to the device's web is as described in the link above.

The following is the login guide in the HG8245H device manual:

  1. Use a network cable to connect the LAN port of the ONT to a PC.

  2. Ensure that the Internet Explorer (IE) of the PC does not use the proxy server. The following section considers IE 8.0 as an example to describe how to check whether the IE uses the proxy server.

    a. Start the IE, and choose Tools > Internet Options from the main menu of the IE window. Then, the Internet Options interface is displayed.

    b. In the Internet Options interface, click the Connections tab and then click LAN settings.

    c. In the Proxy server area, ensure that the Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections). check box is not selected (that is, without the "√" sign). If the check box is selected, deselect it, and then click OK.

  3. Set the IP address and subnet mask of the PC. For details, see Table 3-1.

    1) LAN IP address and subnet mask

    HG Series:

    IP address: 192.168.100.1

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    2) IP address and subnet mask of the PC

Configure the IP address of the PC to be in the same subnet as the LAN IP address of the ONT.

    For example:

    IP address: 192.168.100.100

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  4. Log in to the Web configuration interface.

    a. Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar of IE (192.168.100.1 is the default IP address of the ONT), and then press Enter to display the login interface.

b.In the login interface, enter the user name and password. After the password authentication is passed, the Web configuration interface is displayed.

If you still cannot log in to the WebUI of the device, the possible causes are as follows:

(I've tested it numerous times and the above method is effective)

  1. Device hardware fault

  2. The device is customized for the local ISP, and the ISP disables the function of accessing the device web page

In this case, you need to contact your local equipment provider or ISP for a solution.

Thanks!

alright. nobody want to solve this.
because the local ISP is not professional.
even when the home lab not in use, the connection always in trouble ( playing online game ).
clear and clean internet line from international internet backbone singapore.
i prefer love to discuss it with Huawei. Huawei far away professional than my local ISP. so do with Singapore International Internet Backbone.
the point is this not Huawei fault.

thanks,
