Hi, today I will share with you how to deal with the problem that the microphone cannot record voice on the eDC610.
Symptom
1. The TTRU5.1 X5+ version is used for data configuration. After services are provisioned, voice communication cannot be performed between the dispatching console and the terminal. That is, the voice of the PTT MIC cannot be transmitted to the terminal side.
2. In the lower left corner of the EDC page, when you start the EDC client, the icon is displayed in green. After about 15s, the icon is displayed in red.
Alarm Information
The microphone icon in the lower left corner of the EDC page is displayed in red.
Cause Analysis
Cause: The dispatcher does not check the microphone. That is, the microphone is disconnected from the computer.
Handling Procedure
1. Check the recording device on the EDC. If the recording device is not inserted, the PTT microphone is inserted, as shown in the following figure. Choose Voice > Recording.
2. In the device manager of the computer, query the driver status of the audio adapter. No exception is found.
3. According to the preceding two points, the cause of the problem is as follows: The computer does not detect that the microphone has been inserted but the microphone has been inserted. Therefore, it is suspected that the audio adapter of the computer is abnormal.
4. Download the driver life software to upgrade the sound card driver. After the upgrade is complete, the problem persists.
5. Contact Dell after-sales service personnel. It is recommended that you use the computer driver on the official website and the customer service personnel query the computer based on the serial number of the computer. The computer is a Win10 64-bit system before delivery, and the computer at the site is a Win7 64-bit system.
6. Download the audio card driver of the dell official website, uninstall the existing driver of the computer, and restart the computer.
7. After the microphone is inserted again, the following dialog box is displayed, as shown in the following figure.select the microphone to be inserted Selecting the microphone to be inserted
Note: Before using the sound card driver on the official website, insert the microphone. The dialog box shown in the preceding figure is not displayed.
8. On the Recording Device tab page, set the parameters according to the following figure, as shown in the following figure.

9. Set related parameters as prompted.
10. Initiate related services on the dispatcher side. The terminal can receive the voice from the dispatcher. The service is normal. The problem is solved.
