The methods for restarting the UC components

Today I want to share with you how to restart IP Phone, soft terminal, U19, IAD, USM, and UMS. 


8950 IP Phone

Tap and hold lock for 2s. Then tap Reboot.


7950 IP Phone

  1. On the home screen, choose Apps > System.

  2. Select Restart and press Select.

    The message "Are you sure you want to restart the phone?" is displayed.

  3. Press Restart.


eSpace Moblie

eSpace Moblie is installed on the phone, so, you can restart the phone or close and open the app to achieve the effect.


eSpace Desktop

eSpace desktop is installed on the computer, so, you can restart the computer or close and open the app to achieve the effect.


U19 series

  • Restarting the unified gateway system by running the reboot command

       You can restart the system by running the reboot command in the following conditions:

    • For rectifying a system fault

    • For making the restored data take effect

    On the LMT, follow the steps below to restart the system:

  1. Log in to the LMT and open the command tree.

  2. Choose System Management > Operator Management and click Reboot.

  3. Click Execute to restart the system.

  • Restarting the unified gateway system using the web management system

  1. Log in to the web management system.

  2. Choose System Configuration > Device Management.

  3. Click Reboot next to System Reboot.

  4. Click OK to restart the unified gateway system.

  • Restarting the unified gateway system by power cycling

       If the system fault is severe, you can restart the system by power cycling (that is, powering it off and re-powering it on).

  1. Turn the power switch on the back panel of the unified gateway shelf to the OFF position.

  2. Ensure that the power cable is connected properly to the mains supply socket. Then, provide alternating current (AC) power or direct current (DC) power for the unified gateway.

  3. Turn the power switch on the back panel of the unified gateway shelf to the ON position.

       Verify that the POWER indicator on the board panel is on.

  • Restarting the unified gateway system by restarting all of the main control board


IAD

  • Log in to the web management system, and choose Maintenance > Restart Device. On the page that is displayed, click Restart Device.

  • Log in to the CLI, and run the enable and configure terminal commands in sequence to enter the global configuration mode. Then run the reboot command.


UMS 

Log in to the UMS server as the root user, run restart command to restart the server.


USM

  • Procedure (Web)

  1. Log in to the USM web management system as the administrator user.

  2. Click Restart OM to restart the OM server.

  • Procedure (CLI)

      Log in to the OM using the SSH mode and run the reboot command to reboot the OM.
