This post describes the methods for backup and restoration, including SMC2.0, MCU, RSE6500, TE, TX, DP, and RP.

MCU
Backup the data
Log in to the MCU web interface.
Choose Settings > Maintenance.
The Maintenance page is displayed.
Click Export.
Select the information you want to Export.

The settings on the MCU can be exported and saved as XML files.
Policy for Controlling a Conference
The conference control policy settings on the MCU can be exported and saved as XML files.
Logs
The logs saved on the MCU can be exported and saved as DAT files.
Gateway/MCU information
The MCU and gateway information defined on the GK built in the MCU can be exported and saved as DAT files.
Neighboring GK information
The neighboring GK information defined on the built-in GK can be exported and saved as DAT files.
Signaling Diagnostics
The signaling diagnostics saved on the MCU can be exported and saved as CAP files.
CDRs
The CDRs on the MCU can be exported and saved as XML files.
The information about favorite conferences can be exported as DAT files.
Export and save such information as backups. Doing so will improve the conferencing efficiency when conference information is missing.
The address book contains the site information, which can be exported as a file in VCF format.
You can export the address book and save it as the backup. If the site information is missing on the MCU, import the saved address book to ease the process of adding sites to a conference and improve conferencing efficiency.
Define the save path.
Click OK.
Recovery the data
Log in to the MCU web interface.
Choose Settings > Maintenance.
The Maintenance page is displayed.
Click Import.
Select a type for Import and define File path.
Click Import.
RSE6500
Backup the data
Backing Up Settings, Logs, and Sensitive Words
Log in to the RSE6500 web interface as the system administrator.
Choose System > System Settings > Export.
The Export page is displayed.
Select a type and a file to export the information to the file.
Configuration File: Select Configuration File, select the configuration file to be exported, and click Export to export the configuration file to your local computer.
Log File: Select Log File, select the logs to be exported, and click Export Log to export the logs to a file.
Sensitive word: Select Sensitive word, select the sensitive word file to be exported, and click Export Sensitive Word Library to export the sensitive word library.
Video Backup (Manually)
Choose the VoD menu.
The VoD page is displayed.
Click the cover of the video feed to be watched.
The system plays the video feed. If there are more than one video feeds available, you can set search criteria to quickly find the required video feed.
Click Download video package.
Select the required format and download the video feed.
Video Backup (Automatically)
Choose Program > Video > File Dump and click FTP Settings.
Set FTP parameters.
Click Test Connection.
The system displays the message "Successfully connected".
Click OK to complete the settings.
The system automatically dumps video files according to the file dump policies set under Table 2.

Disk Space
System Status
percentage of the used disk space > Recording space threshold%
The system generates an alarm.
Percentage of the used disk space > Recording space threshold% + 10%
The system automatically dumps the earliest one or more video files until the percentage of the used disk space is smaller than Recording space threshold% + 10%. The value of Recording space threshold% + 10% cannot exceed 90%. For details about how to set the threshold, see System Management > System Configuration > Recording in the HUAWEI RSE6500 Online Help.
Restore the data
Restoring System Configuration
Log in to the RSE6500 web interface as the system administrator.
Choose System > System Settings > Import.
The Import page is displayed.
Click Configuration File > Browse.
Select the configuration file and click Upload.
Restoring Videos When Data Is Backed Up Manually
On the RSE6500 home page, the Live page, or the Program page, click Upload Video in the upper right corner of the page.
The Upload Video page is displayed.
Upload a video feed and its cover.
Click
Upload Video and click Browse to select the video feed to be uploaded.Click Upload Cover and click Browse to select a cover picture to be uploaded.
Enter the video information.
Click Release.
The video feed is displayed in the VoD list on the RSE6500 home page.
Restoring Videos When Data Is Backed Up Automatically
Log in to the FTP server and go to the directory where dumped RSE6500 files are stored.
The directory displays subdirectories named Video name-Date.

Go to a subdirectory.
The directory structure similar to the following is displayed:
rse6500\filestore\videonameA-20140610092235874 ├─audio ├─indexPic ├─previewPic ├─shareFile ├─videoAux ├─videoHD ├─videoSD ├─xml
Select all the directories and decompress them to a .zip package.
Repeat 4 through 6 to decompress all the subdirectories to .zip packages.
Import the .zip packages to RSE6500.
TE&TX&RP
Backing Up the Configuration File
Log in to the endpoint web interface as the administrator.
Choose System Settings > Installation.
The Installation page is displayed.
Click One-Click Backup.
The One-Click Backup dialog box is displayed.
Click One-Click Backup.
The endpoint starts backing up its configuration file. When the backup is complete, a success message is displayed.
Using the Backup Configuration File to Restore the System
Log in to the endpoint web interface as the administrator.
Choose System Settings > Installation.
The System Status page is displayed.
Click One-Click Backup.
The One-Click Backup dialog box is displayed.
Click Restore Backup Settings.
The endpoint starts using the backup configuration file to restore the system.
DP
Backup the data
Choose System Settings > Installation.
The Installation page is displayed.
Click One-Click Backup.
On the One-Click Backup page, click Back Up Settings.
Your DP300 then starts to create a configuration backup file. When the backup is complete, a notification message is displayed.
Restore
To restore all settings under System Settings to the pre-backup settings, click Restore Backup Settings. Your DP300 will then restart and restore the settings.
