Splitting eFabric Ports Through Multimode Optical FibersA VCM5010 server allows you to split a 40GE eFabric port into four 10GE eFabric ports through multimode optical fibers. Figure below shows the connection.

1. Connect a multimode optical fiber to eFabric LAN0 or LAN1.
2. Log in to the active SMM as the root user.
3. Split a 40GE port (eFabric LAN0 as an example) on the switch board in slot 2 into four 10GE ports.
a. Run the fabricget port-split 1/2/0 command to check whether eFabric LAN0 in slot 2 has been split.
If the following information is displayed, the port has been split:
Port 1/2/0 split mode is 1x40G!
If the following information is displayed, the port has been split into four 10 GE ports:
Port 1/2/0 split mode is 4x10G!
b. If the port has not been split, run the fabricset port-split 1/2/0 4x10G command to split it.
4. Split eFabric LAN0 and LAN1 ports on switch boards in slots 2 and 5 in the similar way.
Table below describes the mapping between multimode optical fiber labels and switch board ports after the split.

5. Run the fabricget port-table command to view the split result.
