The meaning of inbound and outbound in MA5608T command line parameters

In MA5608T, there are commands traffic-limit and packet-filter, both of which have parameters inbound/outbound to be set. 

I would like to ask whether the user port refers to the PON port of the business version. According to my own understanding, the direction of in and out is based on the OLT device itself. Is there a problem with this understanding? 

There is also the unicast, because the downlink mode of GPON is broadcast, will I use the outbound parameter to invalidate the command?

Hello, friend!


The two concepts correspond to the inner and outer VLANs.


Generally, the inner VLAN tag is added from the PC to the ONU on the user side. The corresponding port is also called the uni interface. Logically, the port is also called the inbound interface.


From the ONU to the OLT, the service data needs to be tagged with outer VLAN tags to distinguish the service data.


The port between system editions is also called NNI port.
