Hello,

Today, I would like to share with you when the MDF frame wiring problem causes the users under the ADRB board to pick up the phone and the ADSL port can be activated normally.

Problem Description

1- Networking information:

PSTN voice signal -> MDF frame -> ADRB -> UA5000 rear outgoing cable--> MDF frame-user

2- Voice signal is imported from outside to UA5000, and broadband signal uses ADRB of UA5000 plate.

3- The phone and MODEM are separated from the user through the splitter. The user feedback that the MODEM cannot be activated normally. The MODEM can only be activated normally after the phone is off-hook, and then dial-up access can be made.

Process

1- Check the configuration of the ADSL line template. There is no problem. The minimum activation rate for upstream and downstream is 32k. Change to a different ADSL template, ADSL2 template and other tests, the fault remains.

2- Replace with a new ADRB board, and the fault remains.

3- The CSRB board in the same frame of the UA5000 does not have this problem, so the main control board of the device is less likely to fail. Replace the ADRB board to a different slot for testing. The failure remains, so there is no problem in the slot and the frame is also There is no problem.

4- Connect the MODEM to the MDF rack in the computer room for testing, and the fault persists. It is suspected that there is a problem with the wiring.

5- Disconnect the PSTN signal connection, connect the MODEM directly to the UA5000 backplane to test, the MODEM can be activated normally, and the Internet is normal for a long time without problems.

6- Under normal circumstances, the external PSTN signal line must be correctly connected to the PSTN interface of the ADRB board. After the signal coupling of the ADRB, it is sent to the user's external line, and the telephone and MODEM are separated through the splitter at the user's home. Carefully check the wiring on the MDF rack and found that there are serious errors in the wiring. The external PSTN signal is not connected to the ADRB, but is directly screwed with the broadband signal cable from the UA5000 backplane and directly connected to the external line. After the MDF rack cable is connected and rectified, the MODEM can be activated normally and the fault is resolved.

Root cause

1. UA50000 broadband ADSL template configuration problem.

2. The ADRB board is faulty.

3. The UA5000 main control board is abnormal.

4. The MDF frame has a wire-cutting error.
