Hello Smith,

Rights-based Call Restriction Service
  1. This topic describes how to configure call rights on unified gateway.

    Background

unified gateway classifies a user's incoming and outgoing call rights into the following types:
    • Inter: intra-office call
    • Local: local call
    • DDD: national toll call
    • IDD: international toll call

unified gateway also supports 32 customized call rights.

The 32 customized call rights can be used to control a user's call rights, for example, to prohibit calls with specified users.

    Procedure

    • Enabling the service
      1. Log in to the web management system. For details, see Logging In to the Web Management System.
      2. Choose User > SIP User.
        icon-note.gif NOTE:
To enable the service for POTS users (not applicable for U1980), choose User > POTS User.
      3. Find the number for which the service is to be enabled.
      4. Select the number and click Service Configuration.

The service configuration page is displayed.

      5. In the Complex service area, click Configure next to Outgoing call right.
      6. In the Configure Outgoing Call Right dialog box that is displayed, select user rights as required, as shown in Figure 1.
        Figure 1 Configuring user rights

      7. Click OK.

The message "Configuration success" is displayed.

    • Disabling the service
      1. Perform operations in enabling the service from 1 to 5.
      2. In the Configure Outgoing Call Right dialog box, deselect user rights as required.
      3. Click OK.

The message "Configuration success" is displayed.

The following describes the call rights corresponding to the four levels:

  • Default: The default users have the local number querying, call transfer, call forwarding, call waiting, abbreviated dialing, call-out restriction, alarm, caller ID display, password change, conference call, fax mailbox service with unified access code, call park, phone call right, ONLY, do-not-disturb (DND), multi-call, instant meeting and absent user service rights.
  • Common: In addition to service rights for the Default right level, users of this level have rights to use the RCB(only for POTS users), CBB, designated pickup, and group pickup services.
  • Advanced: In addition to the service rights of the common users, the advanced users have the three-party call, ringing (simultaneous and sequential ringing modes), attendant break-in, attendant forced release, hotline, CTVMU, CTVMB, CTVMNR, CTFMU, CTVMO, call forwarding presence, call forwarding conditional, callback on no reply, and BLF service rights.
  • Super: In addition to the service rights of the advanced users, the users of this level have rights to use the privileged user, secretary, secretary station services.
