The iPad cannot connect to the TE50 Wi-Fi

Problem Description

The iPad fails to connect to the TE50 Wi-Fi hotspot, and an authentication failure message is displayed.

Problem Analysis

1.   Use a iPad to connect to other hotspots. It indicates that the Pad function is normal.

2.   Connect the phone to the TE50 hotspot. The TE50 function is normal and the password is correct.

3.   Log in to the TE50 Web and check the Wi-Fi hotspot configuration. TKIP is configured for Encryption mode.

4.   After the value of Encryption mode is changed to AES, the Pad can successfully connect to the TE50 Wi-Fi hotspot. The problem is solved.

Root Cause

The Encryption mode in the TE50 Wi-Fi hotspot configuration is incorrect.

Solution

1.      Log in to the TE50 Web as the admin user.

2.      Choose System Settings > Network.

3.      Click Wi-Fi Settings.

4.  Change the value of Encryption mode to AES.

5.  Click Save.
