We have one ME60-X16 chasis with ME60 V600R009C20SPC600 VRP. We use it as a pppoe server (BNG).

It has two BSU slots like this: 2-Port 10GBase LAN/WAN-SFP+ Flexible Card E(BP51-E) in 8 and 9 slots and two SPU slots in 15 and 16 slots.

A BSU slot 8 has 17934 pppoe users with the following Last 300 seconds input/output traffic.

Last 300 seconds input rate 494431376 bits/sec, 364042 packets/sec

Last 300 seconds output rate 4021182552 bits/sec, 431285 packets/sec

A BSU slot 9 has 29747 pppoe users with the following Last 300 seconds input/output traffic.

Last 300 seconds input rate 518188632 bits/sec, 380125 packets/sec

Last 300 seconds output rate 4256733640 bits/sec, 452899 packets/sec

We get these logs for slot 8 , 9 , 15 and 16 continously.

Slot=8,Vcpu=0;OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.129.2.9.4 The interface board changes from the overload forwarding state to the normal state. (EntityPhysicalIndex=17301504, HwBaseTrapSeverity=1, HwBaseTrapProbableCause=1, HwBaseTrapEventType=5, HwFibOverloadModule=2, entPhysicalName=slot 8)

Slot=9,Vcpu=0;OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.129.2.9.4 The interface board changes from the overload forwarding state to the normal state. (EntityPhysicalIndex=17367040, HwBaseTrapSeverity=1, HwBaseTrapProbableCause=1, HwBaseTrapEventType=5, HwFibOverloadModule=1, entPhysicalName=slot 9)

Slot=15;OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.129.2.9.4 The interface board changes from the overload forwarding state to the normal state. (EntityPhysicalIndex=17760256, HwBaseTrapSeverity=1, HwBaseTrapProbableCause=1, HwBaseTrapEventType=5, HwFibOverloadModule=1, entPhysicalName=slot 15)

Slot=16;OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.129.2.9.4 The interface board changes from the overload forwarding state to the normal state. (EntityPhysicalIndex=17825792, HwBaseTrapSeverity=1, HwBaseTrapProbableCause=1, HwBaseTrapEventType=5, HwFibOverloadModule=1, entPhysicalName=slot 16)

What is our problem and how we can fix it?

Hi, @mehdi_noori
the logs you listed indicates the overload forwarding state of the curresponding interface board is cleared.
This may be trigered by the number of IPv4 or IPv6 route prefixes fell below the limit. So you are kindly advised to check if the interface FIB items exceeeded ever before.
Also, the resume logs always follows after the alarm logs. You might find the corresponding alarms in the history logs.
