The impact of QoS on network performance

The E-UTRAN QoS features have the following impact on network performance:
Admission and congestion control (including air interface and transmission) affects the call drop rate and access success rate. Improper admission control and congestion control increase the call drop rate and decrease the access success rate.
Uplink and downlink scheduling affect the cell throughput, cell edge user throughput, and QoS satisfaction rate.
Uplink and downlink power control affects the cell throughput.
Mobility-related features affect the service drop rate and handover success rate. Therefore, the impact on the two KPIs must be minimized and the QoS of each service during handovers must be ensured.
