Hello, everyone. I want to share with you solution methods if camera search is not working on iClient after searching for cameras
Background
Automatic search is a Layer Two search, IP segment search is a Layer Three search.
Note: The automatic search needs to download the plug-in. If you have installed winpcap, win10pcap, Npcap and other program plug-ins before, please uninstall it. For example, if you install it on the C drive, delete the wpcap.dll and packet.dll in the c:\windows\system32 directory. After uninstalling wanpacket.dull and drivers\npf.sys, install the above winpcap413, then restart the computer, and download the plug-in address https:// www.winpcap.org recommended version 4.1.3)
Summary of Common Errors and Solution
Network connection error
Possible cause of error:
1. The first device in the device list does not match all local network cards. It is recommended not to verify the first device.
2. The camera network connection fails, it is recommended to check the on-site network environment.
3. The SDK switch of the camera is not turned on, it is recommended to log in to the camera web interface to turn on the SDK switch
The user name or password is wrong
Confirm that the user name and password are entered correctly. Generally, the user uses the camera web password as a verification password.
General server errors
This is usually camera problems, have been optimized, if there are still problems, it is recommended to restart the camera to deal with.
Receiving messages time out
This errors are likely to occur across network segments. It is recommended to verify one IP segment before verifying another IP segment. If the message is still timed out, it means that the camera's feedback is indeed not received, and there are many reasons. It is recommended to capture the packet for analysis.
Note
All the above problems are common handling methods. If they cannot be solved, it is recommended to take logs for analysis
