The first telegraph was invented (1600 – 1833)

In 1894, Guglielmo Marconi began developing a wireless telegraph system using radio waves, which had been known since proof of their existence in 1888 by Heinrich Hertz but discounted as a communication format since they seemed, at the time, to be a short-range phenomenon.
-> The wireless communication started in 1899 – when Marconi sent the first international wireless message from Dover, England to Wimereux, France. 1900 – Tesla obtained patents on System of Transmission of Electrical Energy which the US recognized as the first patents on Radio.
